Slow Cooked Hunters chicken

Ingredients:

1 chicken breast per person
2 rashers of smoked/unsmoked bacon per breast
Hunters chicken sauce or BBQ sauce of your choice (I used Bullseye BBQ sauce )
Loads of mild cheddar cheese!!!

Method:

Wrap each chicken breast in the bacon. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours (No liquid needed as it produces plenty of juices…see pic 2)
Drain juices and add BBQ sauce, cover and cook for a further half hour (to thin sauce slightly so cheese doesn’t melt and slide off)
Add cheese & cook for further half hour with lid off. Serve with whatever you fancy.




Question:                Would it all cook right threw if u just put it all in at once together even the sauce on top of the fresh chicken and bacon ?

Answer:                  Yes it would but all the juices release so the BBQ sauce goes watery and greasy and I don’t like that.  If you’re putting it in altogether 5 or 6 hours on low is perfect.

Question:                What is the brown rice looking side you made with it?

Answer:                   it’s spicy vegetable couscous.
