Asian beef with hokkien noodles. Mmmmmm… Cooked in the slow cooker, not the wok!!! .
Ingredients:
*1 kg of beef
*1 cup beef stock (1 heaped tsp of stock powder to 1 cup water)
*1/3 cup soy sauce
*1/3 cup hoisin sauce
*1 tablespoon oyster sauce
*1 tablespoon crushed garlic
*2 tablespoon brown sugar
*2 tablespoon cornflour
*Vegetables of choice
*800 gram packet of fresh hokkien noodles
Directions:
Brown the beef (if you want), add to slow cooker. Add the stock and combined sauces, garlic and brown sugar. Give it a good stir. Cook on high for 2.5 hours. Combine cornflour and a small amount of water and add to slow cooker to thicken sauce if desired. Add veggies and noodles. Cook a further 30 minutes (times might need adjusting according to your slow cooker). Serve and enjoy.
Question: Did you prepare the noodles as per the packet before throwing them in the slow cooker? Or just thrown them in ‘raw’?
