Succulent Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops with Herbs

Succulent Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops with Herbs. Sweet lobster tails and golden scallops sit in warm garlic herb butter. It looks fancy but is easy to cook. It’s a great meal for a special night or when you want something yummy.

This tasty dish brings lobster and scallops together with a warm, buttery garlic sauce. Fresh lemon and herbs add a bright, happy flavor. It looks like something from a nice restaurant, but you can make it at home without much trouble. It’s perfect for a special dinner, a date night, or any time you want a treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails
  • 12 large sea scallops, dried with a paper towel
  • 6 tablespoons butter (soft, not salted), split into parts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves, chopped small
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, plus more for topping
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme leaves, or 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme if you don’t have fresh thyme.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper, as needed
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Succulent Garlic Butter Lobster: Directions

  1. Turn on the oven and let it heat up to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Use kitchen scissors to cut along the top of each lobster shell. Carefully lift the meat up so it rests on top of the shell.
  3. In a small pot, melt 3 tablespoons of butter on low heat. Mix in half the garlic, the paprika, and a little salt.
  4. Brush this garlic butter all over the lobster meat.
  5. Place the lobster tails on a baking tray and cook for 12 to 15 minutes, until the meat turns white all the way through.
  6. While the lobster bakes, sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the scallops.
  7. Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a big pan over high heat until it’s hot.
  8. Cook the scallops for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until they turn golden. Carefully remove the lobster meat and place it on a plate.
  9. Lower the heat to medium. Add the rest of the butter and garlic to the same pan.
  10. Add the thyme, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Let it cook for about 1 minute until it smells great.
  11. Put the scallops back in the pan and spoon the butter sauce over them.
  12. Take the lobster out of the oven once it’s done cooking.
  13. Place the lobster and scallops together on a plate. Pour any leftover garlic butter on top.
  14. Sprinkle parsley over the top and serve right away with lemon wedges.
