Steak and Guinness pie.
It was absolutely delicious!!
Ingredients:
Steak
1 onion
Garlic
Chilli powder
Seeded mustard
Worsteshire sauce
Lemon juice
Guinness
Gravy Powder (I use maggi)
Corn flour
Puff pastry
Directions:
Dice steak (I used scotch fillet because it was on special when we bought it, I would probably normally use rump) and finely dice onion. Throw into SC bowl with all other ingredients. Pour a bit of the beer in an mix around to combine. Pour more Guinness in until meat is just covered.
Cook on low for 8 hours.
An hour before it’s finished mix some corn flour and gravy powder with water and mix into the SC bowl.
Once the time is up grease a pie dish, lay puff pastry on the bottom, pour the meat mixture into the dish, pop another sheet on top and seal.
Bake for approx. 45 minutes on 200c until golden.
Cut and serve!
