Slow Cooker Tomato Relish. Our cherry tomato tree is producing so much fruit we can’t keep up. So I found the best ever tomato relish recipe & put it all ingredients in the slow cooker. It really is the best ever lol
Ingredients:
1 1⁄2kg ripe tomatoes
500g brown onions (peeled and chopped)
2 tablespoons salt
2 cups sugar
3 teaspoons curry powder
1⁄4 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon dry mustard
2 cups malt vinegar
Directions:
Dice tomatoes (I didn’t peel them) & onions & cover with salt overnight. Next day add all ingredients to the slow cooker & cook on low for 6 hours or to taste. You Can add corn flour close to end to thicken if you like.
I let it cool then used a stick blender to blitz it.
