Dessert is ready, Slow Cooker Golden Syrup Dumplings
Ingredients:
Syrup
3/4 cups golden syrup
3/4 cup brown sugar packed lightly
60g butter
2 cups of water
Dumplings batter is the same as scone mix
2 cups self raising flour
2 tablespoon margarine/butter
1 cup milk
Directions:
Prepare scone mix… i used my ninja (whizzer thingy) and mixed flour & butter, then added milk …. take tablespoon of dough & roll into a ball then roll in extra flour. Have all your balls ready.
Now for the sauce, in a saucepan that fits in my slow cooker , put the syrup, sugar, butter & water & bring to boil (stirring constantly ) once boiling, allow to boil for 1 minute then gently drop balls into the syrup mix. Continue to boil for 5 minutes then put the saucepan with the saucepan lid on, into the slow cooker on low and cook for approx 30 mins. I put my lid on my slow cooker too. I then turned the cooker off & left in there till ready to serve.
