Slow Cooker Ginger Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
150mls milk
4 oz butter or margarine
8 oz golden syrup
8 oz self raising flour
2 oz white sugar
1 heaped teaspoon mixed spice
2 heaped teaspoons of ground ginger powder
2 eggs
Method:
Warm the golden syrup & butter in a pan over a low heat until butter is melted & combined, turn off heat & add milk, allow to cool.
Put all dry ingredients in a bowl, add the golden syrup mixture when cool & mix, then add eggs & mix well until all combined.
I then poured mine into a round tin lined with baking paper, then placed it in my slow cooker, turned it on high, tea towel under the lid, cooked for 2 hours, tested with skewer, perfect, so know my house smells amazing.
