Slow Cooked Roast Potatoes. Joined the roast potato & it’s an absolute game changer for me!
Peeled, chopped, rinsed & dried. Whilst doing all that I put a splash of oil in the slow Cooker and whacked it in high. I did NOT par boil the potatoes, they went in raw. Mixed about to coat in the oil, sprinkled a bit of flour on, salt & pepper, mixed herbs and garlic for good luck. Tea towel cover under lid.
Gave them a stir every hour ish. They were ready after about 3.5 hours on high (I have a morphy richards sear & stew so tends to cook fast!)
Question: I need to be more adventurous
I’d be scared my slow cooker pot would crack if I switched it on and didn’t have much in it
They do look delicious tho.
Answer: Mine’s aluminium so no risk of that!
Question: Was it literally a splash of oil you used? I think I may have put too much oil in mine as they were a little soggy- unless it’s because I par boiled them first x
Answer: Just enough to coat the bottom of the dish, and it was hot before I put them in so not sure if that helped.
