Ingredients:

1 potato per person
Tasty cheese sliced
Ham
Garlic butter

Hassle back potatoes and sticky sausages

Directions:

Cut potato 3/4 way through
Put cheese slice in every second slot and ham in other slot. Spread garlic butter over potatoes. Line slow cooker with baking paper, cover with tea towel and cook on low for 6 hrs.

Question:             how did you make the garlic butter?

Answer:               Just marg & minced garlic.

Question:              Block or slice cheese?

Answer:               I used cheese slices, but you could use block cheese sliced thinly if that’s what you have.

Question:             So do you cook the spuds 1st?

Answer:               No.

Question:              I’m still yet to use my slow cooker, when you say cover with a tea towel. You just fold it and place it on top of the food so it’s covered and then put the lid on?

Question:             why do you cover with a tea towel?

Answer:               Keeps out excess condensation.

Question:             When it says cover with a tea towel, do u also put on the lid???

Answer:               Yes you do.

Question:            Stupid question to ask .but do u also put water in then the grease proof paper.? Just worried in case it goes on fire without any water in it.

Answer:               No. It’ll be fine hon truly, there’s moisture from marg/butter & cheese & ham, while cooking.

Question:             How do you stop the potato from breaking? Sorry if it’s a silly question.

Answer:               Just don’t cut all the way through.

Question:            Do you peel the potato.

Answer:              No.

Question:            Do You steam the spuds first.

Answer:              No.

For Sticky Sausages

Ingredients:

8-10 sausages
8-10 rashes bacon, cut rind off
2/3 cup bbq sauce
2 cloves garlic crushed
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon mixed herbs

 

Directions:

Wrap bacon around sausage, secure with toothpicks, put in lined slow cooker. Make sauce by mixing all ingredients together, then pour over sausages. Tea towel under lid. Cook on high for 3 hours.

Question:          what are sticky sausages.

Answer:             It’s just the name of the dish. The sauce makes the sausages sticky (gooey) when cooked.
