SLOW COOKED BEEF STROGANOFF RECIPE
INGREDIENTS:
800 gram Gravy Beef, diced into 3cm pieces
2 tablespoon Olive Oil
2 x Brown Onions, sliced thinly
3 x Garlic Cloves, sliced thinly
2 tablespoon Parsley, chopped finely
500 gram Mushrooms, sliced thickly
3 tablespoon Tomato Paste
2 tablespoon Paprika
1 1/2 cup Liquid Beef Stock
2 tablespoon Plain Flour
3 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
3 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
2 tablespoon Corn Flour
3-4 tablespoon Sour Cream
Salt & Pepper
METHOD:
Season beef with salt and pepper
Heat 1 tbsp oil in large frypan, cook beef until just browned.
Place in slow cooker.
Heat remaining oil in same pan, cook garlic, onion and mushroom until just tender, season with salt and pepper.
Add flour, stir until well combined.
Transfer to slow cooker.
In a large jug or bowl, mix liquid stock, tomato paste, paprika, worcestershire sauce and dijon mustard until smooth.
Pour over beef.
Stir well.
Cook on low for 8 hours
Stir through cornflour. Sauce will thicken.
Stir through sour cream.
Serve with rice and sprinkle with parsley.
