Easy Slow Cooker Beef Steaks — Only 5 Things Needed
What You Need
- 2 pounds frozen beef cubed steaks (don’t thaw them — use them frozen!)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 small packet (1 oz) dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup beef broth (or 1 cup water mixed with 1 teaspoon beef bouillon)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
How To Make Easy Slow Cooker Beef Steaks
- Step 1 — Put the beef in the crock pot. Take your frozen beef steaks and lay them flat on the bottom of your slow cooker. Try to keep them in one layer as best you can so they cook the same all the way through. It’s okay if they touch a little bit.
- Step 2 — Mix up the sauce. Grab a bowl and stir together the cream of mushroom soup, the onion soup mix packet, the beef broth, and the Worcestershire sauce. Mix it until it looks smooth and well blended.
- Step 3 — Add the sauce on top of the beef. Pour your sauce mix right on top of the frozen steaks. Make sure all the meat gets covered. You can use a spoon or spatula to spread it around. Once it’s in there, you don’t need to stir it.
- Step 4 — Cook it low and slow. Put the lid on your slow cooker. Cook on LOW flame for 7 to 8 hrs, or cook on HIGH heat for 4 to 5 hrs. You’ll know it’s done when the beef is really soft and easy to cut with a fork. Try not to lift the lid while it’s cooking — that lets the heat out!
- Step 5 — Stir and taste. When it’s done, give the sauce a gentle stir to mix everything back together. Take a small taste and add a little salt and pepper if you think it needs it.
- Step 6 — Serve and enjoy! Dish out the beef while it’s hot. Spoon lots of that yummy gravy on top. This goes great over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice. Get ready for everyone to ask for a second plate!
