Crockpot Sloppy Joes Saucy Sandwich: Once you try crockpot Sloppy Joes, you will never go back to the stovetop version again. Just look at that bun piled impossibly high with rich, saucy, deeply flavored ground beef that has been slow cooking all day in a tangy, sweet, smoky sauce until every single bite is pure comfort.
The crockpot does something magical to Sloppy Joes — the sauce thickens and concentrates around the meat into something so much deeper and more complex than a quick pan version could ever achieve. Perfect for game days, family dinners, or feeding a hungry crowd with zero stress.

- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt and black pepper

Crockpot Sloppy Joes Saucy Sandwich: Method
- Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it apart as it cooks, for 6 to 8 minutes until fully browned with no pink remaining. Drain away any excess fat, then transfer the meat to the crockpot.
- Add the aromatics by placing the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic into the crockpot directly with the browned beef and stirring everything together.
- Make the sauce by combining the ketchup, passata, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl and stirring until completely smooth.
- Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables in the crockpot and stir thoroughly until every bit of meat is coated in that gorgeous rich sauce.
- Cook low and slow by covering with the lid and cooking on LOW for 4 to 6 hours or HIGH for 2 to 3 hours, stirring once halfway through. The sauce will thicken beautifully and the flavors will deepen significantly during the cook.
- Serve on toasted buns by piling the saucy beef mixture generously onto the bottom half of each soft brioche bun, exactly like the photo — unapologetically loaded and absolutely sloppy. Serve immediately alongside crisps or fries and enjoy every messy, delicious bite.
