Cola Roast Beef Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient… My husband couldn’t believe this super soft dinner used just 3 things. The soda makes the meat so tender, with no fuss at all!
This easy slow cooker cola roast beef tricks everyone into thinking you slaved over it. Cola softens cheap chuck roast until it’s fork-tender. I made it on a crazy day, and my husband was stunned—only three ingredients! The soda turns into a yummy, sticky sauce that coats the beef and onions for cozy comfort food.
Pile it on mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice to soak up the shiny sauce. Add green beans, salad, or broccoli on the side. Leftovers shine in sandwiches with cheese and extra sauce for dipping.
Wow, this 3-ingredient cola roast beef melts in your mouth! Cheap chuck roast gets super tender in the slow cooker thanks to fizzy cola and onion mix. Just dump, cook low and slow, shred, and dig in. Perfect over potatoes or in sandwiches—easy weeknight magic that wows the family every time!
Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
3 to 3½ pounds beef chuck roast
-
1 packet (1 ounce) dry onion soup mix
-
2 cups cola (not diet), room temperature
Cola Roast Beef Slow Cooker: Directions
-
Dry the roast with paper towels. Cut off big hard fat, but keep some for taste and softness.
-
Put roast flat in a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker.
-
Sprinkle onion soup mix on top and sides. Press it in. Bits in the bottom are okay—they flavor the sauce.
-
Pour cola slowly around the sides (not on top) until it covers half or three-quarters of the meat.
-
Cover and cook on LOW 8-10 hours or HIGH 4-5 hours, until meat pulls apart easy with a fork. LOW makes it softest.
-
Shred meat with two forks in the cooker. Mix into the dark, shiny sauce.
-
For thicker sauce, cook on HIGH uncovered 15-20 minutes, stirring now and then.
-
Taste and add salt or pepper if needed. Serve hot with extra sauce and onions on top.
