Slow Cooker Amish Chicken Corn Noodle Supper

Serves: 6

What You Need

  • 2 pounds chicken breasts (no bones or skin)

  • 2 cans (14.75 oz each) cream-style corn

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 8 oz wide egg noodles (half a bag)

  • 1 tsp salt (or what you like)

  • ½ tsp black pepper (or what you like)

How to Make Chicken and Corn Dinner In Slow Cooker

  1. Put raw chicken breasts flat in the bottom of a 5-6 quart slow cooker.

  2. Open corn cans and pour over chicken. Spread it to cover most of the chicken.

  3. Add chicken broth on top. Shake on salt and pepper.

  4. Put lid on. Cook on LOW 4-5 hours or HIGH 2½-3 hours till chicken is soft and shreds easy with forks.

  5. Shred chicken in cooker with forks. Mix into corn.

  6. Dump in dry noodles. Stir so they sink in the hot mix.

  7. Cover. Cook on HIGH 20-30 min. Stir halfway. Noodles get soft and soak up juice. Add hot water if too thick; let sit if too runny.

  8. Taste. Add more salt/pepper if you want. Scoop into bowls. Eat warm!
