Sticky Honey Garlic Pork in the Slow Cooker. Guess what? You only need four things from your kitchen to make the most amazing, sweet, and sticky pork ever! My big brother taught me this super easy trick. Let’s cook! Super easy slow cooker pork with only 4 ingredients — sweet, sticky, and totally yummy!
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 3 pounds boneless pork shoulder, cut into golf ball-sized chunks
- 1 cups honey
- 0.5 cups soy sauce
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped up really tiny
Sticky Honey Garlic Pork Making Steps
- Prepare your foil pan: Place a large sheet of foil on a baking pan and keep it ready. You’ll use it later — it’s going to catch all the yummy sticky stuff!
- Cut the pork: Trim off any big white chunks of fat from the pork. Then cut the meat into pieces about the size of a golf ball. Try to keep them close to the same size so they all cook the same way.
- Mix the sauce: In a bowl, stir together 1 cups honey, 0.5 cups soy sauce, and 6 garlic cloves, chopped up really tiny. Keep mixing until it all looks smooth and a little shiny. That’s your magic sauce!
- Add pork to the slow cooker: Put all 3 pounds boneless pork shoulder, cut into golf ball-sized chunks into the slow cooker. Pour your honey garlic sauce on top. Use a spoon to gently toss the pieces around so every single one gets coated.
- Cook low and slow: Put the lid on and cook on LOW for 6 to 360 minutes, or cook on HIGH heat for 3 to 4 hours. The pork is ready when you can poke it easily with a fork and it starts to fall apart.
- Move pork to the foil pan: Turn on your oven’s broiler to HIGH. Use a slotted spoon (the kind with holes in it) to scoop the pork pieces onto your foil-covered pan. Give each piece a little breathing room.
- Make the sauce thick and sticky: Pour the leftover liquid from the slow cooker into a small pot. Heat it on the stove until it bubbles, then turn it down a little. Let it simmer and stir it every so often for about 8 to 9 minutes, until it gets thick like maple syrup.
- Sauce it up: Spoon or brush about half of your thick sticky sauce all over the pork pieces on the pan. Coat them well!
- Broil until crispy: Slide the pan into the oven under the broiler. Watch it closely! After 3 to 4 minutes, the edges should get a little crispy and the sauce should turn a deep golden brown. If one side is getting darker faster, turn the pan around.
- Add the rest of the sauce: Pull the pan out of the oven and drizzle the rest of the sticky sauce over all the pork. Let it sit for a few minutes so the sauce soaks in and sticks on tight.
- Serve it up!: Move your pork to a big plate or bowl. Don’t forget to scrape all the golden sticky bits off the foil and pile those on top too. Serve it warm and enjoy every bite!
