Zero-Carb Flourless Naan is a soft and gluten-free flatbread made without traditional flour. It pairs perfectly with curries, dips, or meals and delivers naan-style comfort while staying low in carbs. This easy recipe uses simple ingredients and cooks in minutes, making homemade naan possible even on busy days.

Ingredients For Zero-Carb Flourless Naan

  • 2 large eggs

    • Quantity: 2

    • Notes: Use fresh eggs for better texture and binding.

  • 1/2 cup almond flour (or coconut flour to make it firmer)

    • Quantity: 1/2 cup

    • Notes: Almond flour makes it soft; coconut flour absorbs more moisture, so use less if needed.

  • 1/8 cup honey (or maple syrup for a vegan one)

    • Quantity: 1/8 cup

    • Notes: Adds slight sweetness; you can skip for fully savory naan.

  • 1 tsp baking powder

    • Quantity: 1 teaspoon

    • Notes: Helps naan rise and become fluffy.

  • 1/2 tsp salt

    • Quantity: 1/2 teaspoon

    • Notes: Enhances overall flavor.

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

    • Quantity: 1 tablespoon

    • Notes: Prevents sticking and adds mild richness.

  • Optional: Fresh garlic, minced or powdered garlic, to add an additional flavor.

    • Quantity: optional

    • Notes: Adds a strong garlic aroma and taste.

  • Bay leaf (garnish, optional) Fresh herbs such as parsley (garnish, optional)

    • Quantity: optional

    • Notes: Used only for garnish and extra freshness.

Instructions

Prepare the Dough

Combine the eggs, almond flour (or coconut flour), Greek yogurt, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl and blend. The bread mixture must be thick and not very sticky. In case it is too thick, you can add a teaspoon of water or a little more yogurt to make it somewhat liquid.

Cook the Naan

Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan on medium heat and put a small amount of olive oil on the pan.
When the pan is hot, pour approximately 2-3 tablespoons of the dough onto the pan and spread it flat round in shape, approximately 1/4 inch thick.
Bake 2-3 minutes per side or to a golden brown and cooked.

Optional Garlic Flavor

To add more flavor with garlic you can add minced garlic or even garlic powder to the dough right before baking or you can brush the cooked naan with a small amount of melted butter and garlic.

Serve

After cooking naan, take it out of the pan and then continue to do the same on the rest of the dough.
Fresh herbs such as parsley or cilantro can be added as a garnish.

Enjoy

Dine naan hot with your favorite dips, curries or a side with any other meal.
