This easy slow-cooker meal mixes warm chili with crispy-tasting tater tots for a tasty, comfy dinner. Ground beef, beans, tomatoes, and spices cook slowly while tots make a golden layer on top. Add cheese at the end for gooey goodness. Simple, family-friendly, and perfect for chilly nights.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground beef, cooked and drained

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 2 cans chili beans, undrained

  • 1 can diced tomatoes

  • 1 can tomato sauce

  • 1 packet chili seasoning

  • 1 bag frozen tater tots (32 oz)

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Slow Cooker Tater Tot Chili: Directions

  1. Put the cooked ground beef and chopped onion into the slow cooker.

  2. Stir in the chili beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and chili seasoning until mixed.

  3. Spread the chili mixture evenly across the bottom of the slow cooker.

  4. Pour the frozen tater tots over the chili in a single layer.

  5. Cook with the lid on over low heat for about 4 to 5 hours, until everything is soft and fully cooked.

  6. During the last 20 minutes, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

  7. Cover until the cheese melts, then serve hot.
