This is my Slow Cooker Silverside Recipe Method
Take meat out of sealed bag & rinse with cold water. Cover in foil & wrap like a parcel. Put this into an oven bag and put into slow cooker. Today’s was only 1.2kg so I put it on for 7 hours on high. If it’s bigger it may need 8 hours.
When finished take bag out of slow cooker and take meat out of bag, then unwrap from foil. Hardly any fat present as it gets rendered down. Lots of juice left if needed for gravy, I only use a little mixed with water as it’s very salty.
I serve with the gravy, boiled potatoes, steamed carrots, cauli and broccoli, frozen peas & corn and sautéed cabbage. Absolutely delicious & a hit with the whole family.
