Slow Cooker Rice Pudding Recipe sweet and thick just right for a cold rainy day.
Ingredients:
300g long grain rice
1 liter milk
1 can evaporated milk
300 ml double cream
2 tsp cinnamon
130gs golden sugar
2 tsp vanilla essence
70g butter melted
2 tsp mixed spice
Method:
Slow cooker on high for 4 hours
Melt butter first in slow cooker
Mix together milk, evaporated milk, golden sugar, vanilla essence, spice and cinnamon
Pour into slow cooker bowl mix in with butter then add rice and stir, put lid on
Check and stir every hour
After 4 hours add cream and stir
Change slow cooker to low for 2 hours and depending if you like thick or runny rice pudding, add some more milk and stir during cooking to the consistency you prefer
After cooking the rice pudding will have a nice skin on the top and ready to serve
You can use pudding rice instead( I didn’t have any) and this will cook in less time.
