Slow Cooker Pork Chops & Gravy: Directions
-
Arrange the chops of pork in the bottom of the slow cooker (4- to 6-quarter) in a single layer as much as possible. It’s fine if they overlap a bit.
-
Use a medium bowl to combine the cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix and chicken broth until it is relatively smooth.
-
Pour the mixture of the soup all over the pork chops ensuring that every pork chop is covered with part of the soup mix.
-
Cook on LOW or HIGH depending on the tender and cooked pork chops, 6-7 or 3-4 hours, respectively.
-
Once the pork chops are cooked take them out tho a plate and cover loosely with foil to keep warm.
-
Add the sour cream to the hot cooking liquid in the slow cooker until the gravy is creamy. Taste and add seasoning (where necessary).
-
Put the pork chops back into the slow cooker, and stuff them into the gravy, and allow them to rest on WARM some 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to combine.
-
Top the pork chops drowned in the gravy on top of mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice.
