Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen raw meatballs

  • 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1 cup)

  • 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara or pasta sauce

  • 1 cup beef broth (or water)

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or dried oregano/basil blend)

Slow Cooker Meatball Dinner: Directions

  1. Spray inside of slow cooker with cooking spray or rub with a little oil. This makes cleanup easy.

  2. Put chopped onion on the bottom. Spread it flat.

  3. Add marinara or pasta sauce and beef broth. Sprinkle Italian seasoning. Stir sauce, broth, and seasoning over onions gently.

  4. Put frozen raw meatballs on top of sauce. Spread them even. Press down so most are in the liquid.

  5. Cover with lid. Cook it on LOW heat 6-8 for hrs or HIGH heat for 3-4 hrs. Meatballs cooked through, onions soft. Don’t open lid much to keep heat right.

  6. Stir gently to cover meatballs in sauce. Taste. Add salt and pepper if you want.

  7. Serve hot over noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes. Spoon extra sauce and onions on top.
