Slow Cooker Amish Beef Stew Noodles

This simple slow cooker Amish beef stew noodles recipe uses just four ingredients to make a warm, filling meal. Beef stew meat cooks low and slow until soft, then mixes with rich gravy and tender egg noodles. It’s a cozy, old-fashioned dinner that’s perfect for cold weather nights.

Slow cooker Amish beef stew noodles are the kind of simple, cozy meal that earns a steady spot in your dinner plan when the weather turns cold. With just a few easy ingredients, this dish lets the slow cooker do all the work, turning beef stew meat into soft, tender bites and making a tasty gravy that sticks nicely to the homestyle egg noodles. It has that same careful, filling spirit found in Amish-style home cooking, where simple pantry foods are used well and stretched into something that really fills you up.

Serve this hearty noodle dish with a simple green salad, buttered green beans, or steamed peas to help balance out the rich flavor. Warm dinner rolls or crusty bread are also great for soaking up extra gravy. If you want something fresh and bright on the plate, try adding a spoonful of applesauce or some quick pickled vegetables — they make a nice contrast to the deep, beefy taste.

Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Amish Beef Stew Noodles

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 12 ounces frozen egg noodles

Directions

  1. The meat for the beef stew should then be placed at the bottom of the slow cooker. It should be spread evenly such that you have one layer of meat. Mix the brown gravy and condensed cream of mushroom soup in a mixing bowl and then pour over the meat.
  2. Cover the pot and cook on LOW setting for 7 to 8 hours. At this point, the beef becomes very tender and the sauce thickens to become a flavorful gravy.
  3. Remove the lid and add the frozen egg noodles. Stir everything in the hot gravy such that everything is coated. Cover and cook on HIGH for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. When the noodles become soft and tender, they will be ready to serve.
  4. Stir everything together and let stand for several minutes. This will give time for the noodles to absorb the remaining sauce. Serve the dish immediately while hot. Make sure that there is enough beef, noodles, and gravy in each serving.
