Easy Slow Cooker Sausage Hashbrown Casserole – Cheesy Crockpot Dump Meal Recipe.
Super easy. It’s a dump meal.
Wholesale price, approximately $12 or so… this one is a glutton.
Ingredients For Sausage Hashbrown Casserole
| Ingredients | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sausage or smoked sausage (I use Ekrich Sausage) sliced in chunks as pictured in photo | 1 pack | Slice into chunks before adding to slow cooker |
| Frozen hashbrowns | 1 (32 oz) bag | Use directly from frozen |
| Small onion diced up | 1 small onion | Dice evenly for better cooking |
| Cheddar | 2 cups | Shredded cheddar melts best |
| Sour cream | 1/2 cup | Adds creaminess to the casserole |
| Milk | 1/2 cup | Helps thin and combine the sauce |
| Cream mushroom or chicken soup | 1 (10 oz) can | Either soup works for flavor |
Directions
-
Soup.
-
Then add sausage, hash browns, onion and cheese to a greased slow cooker (I use crockpot liners as they are easy to clean), followed by the combination of soup, milk, sour cream.
-
To the mixture I add salt and pepper, minced garlic and onion powder.
-
Taste, pour, sausage and hash browns over.
-
Add 1/2 cup more cheese on the top next.
-
Cook in low about 6 hours or high about 3-4 hours respectively.
Serving Suggestion
Depending on whether you want a salad, or roasted veggies as a complete meal and perhaps Texas garlic toast!
