Ribeye Steak, juicy and tasty, grilled tender! This steak dish is simple, is grilled with the addition of fresh herbs, is prepared in a cast-iron pan, and basters with butter and garlic.
What Exactly Is Ribeye Steak?
Ribeye is evidently one of my favorite traditional cuts of steaks. These steaks are among the primeal cuts and they are identically the same as prime rib roast except that it is steak shaped. It has a fine soft texture and has healthy meaty taste like chuck.
Ingredients

1 rib steak

Sea salt flakes

Freshly ground black pepper

50g butter
-
2 sprigs of thyme
-
1 clove of garlic with its skin squeezed
How To Make Ribeye Steak
-
Bring to Room Temperature – Remove the steak out of the refrigerator at least half an hour before cooking until it gets to room temperature. This ensures the steaks are prepared equally.
-
Season the Steak – Liberally season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides for even coverage.
-
Heat the Pan – Heat a frying pan. If cooking two steaks, ensure the pan is large enough to accommodate both; otherwise, use two pans.
-
Cook the Steak – Place the steak in the skillet and cook on medium-high heat on both sides for 2-3 minutes, depending on thickness and desired doneness. For a 3cm steak, cook 5 minutes: 50°C for rare, 60°C for medium, 70°C for well-done.
-
Baste with Butter and Herbs – Turn the steak, then add butter, thyme, and garlic. Tilt the pan so butter gathers and pour it over the steak several times for flavor.
-
Take the steak out of the skillet and let it sit for 5 minutes before eating. This lets the meat reabsorb its juices and prevents them from escaping when sliced.
-
Serve – Slice the steaks, season if desired, and serve with your preferred side dishes and sauce.
