Red wine lamb shanks. Pretty proud of this one ?
Ingredients:
4 lamb shanks
2 table spoons of minced garlic
2/3 cup red wine
1 cup beef stock
2 bay leaves
1 1/2 TBSP of dried rosemary and thyme
2-3 TBSP of Worcestershire sauce
2 TBSP of tomato paste
Directions:
Add all ingredients to slow cooker, except for lamb shanks, and stir.
Brown lamb shanks on each side for about 5 minutes and then add to slow cooker.
Grab a spoon and scoop the liquid in the slow cooker over the lamb shanks.
Pop the lid on top and cook on low for 5-6 hours.
I served with mashed potato, steamed broccolini and a gravy I made with the juice and gravy powder. Was amazing ?
EDIT: Sorry, I should have written that half way through cooking, I turned the lamb shanks so the other side was covered in juice as well ?
