Slow Cooker Pea & Ham Soup Recipe
Ingredients:
1 500g packet of split peas
2 large carrots,
2 sticks of celery
1 large onion
1 (good sized) ham hock
Salt & pepper (for seasoning)
8 cups of water
Instructions:
*rinse split peas well.
Add chopped up, carrots, celery & onion to slow cooker, then add split peas, hock, & seasoning, put in 8 cups of water.
Cook on low for 14 hours.
(or high for 7 hours).
Take hock out, remove skin, fat & bone. Dice up meat, & set aside. Blitz up soup and then stir in chopped up meat
