Macaroni and Tomatoes Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient. My aunt whipped up this classic lunch, and wow, it blew me away with how yummy it tastes. It’s easy, cozy food using just 3 things!
This slow cooker macaroni with tomatoes is like the quick lunch my aunt fixed on hectic days. I was surprised it’s still so tasty! It’s basic, warm comfort food—soft macaroni cooked in a slow cooker with canned tomatoes and lots of butter. It gets juicy, thick, and super snugly. No hard stuff, no fuss—just stuff from your kitchen that feels like kid days and feeds folks fast.
Creamy elbow macaroni simmers in a slow cooker with juicy stewed tomatoes and melty butter for old-time comfort. No skills needed! Pasta turns soft and plump in rich, tangy sauce. Perfect for busy days, it warms hearts like grandma’s hugs. Feeds four easy. Add cheese on top for fun. Pure simple joy!
Serve it hot right from the cooker while it’s all buttery. It’s great with a fresh green salad or cooked green beans for crunch. Set out cheese like Parmesan or cheddar so people can add some. For more filling food, eat with chicken, meatloaf, or bread to dip in the juices.
Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
2 cans (14.5 ounces each) stewed tomatoes, with juice
-
2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni (about 8 ounces)
-
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into chunks
Macaroni and Tomatoes Slow Cooker: Directions
-
Rub a little butter or spray inside a 3–4 quart slow cooker so nothing sticks.
-
Dump in the stewed tomatoes with their juice. Mash big tomato bits with a spoon if you want, but keep chunks for that homey feel.
-
Mix in the dry macaroni. Push it down so most is in the juice. Bits on top are fine.
-
Put butter chunks all over the top so they melt in as it cooks.
-
Put on the lid. Cook on LOW for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. Stir once in the middle. Check at 1 1/2 hours—time varies by cooker and how soft you want pasta.
-
When pasta is soft and sauce is thick, stir well to mix buttery juice on everything. Add salt or pepper if you want—it stays plain and gentle.
-
Scoop out warm to eat. It gets thicker as it rests, with soft, full pasta like school lunch memories.
