Ingredients
For the Chicken
- Chicken breasts (or thighs) that are boneless and skinless
- Quantity: 4
- Salt
- Quantity: 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- Quantity: 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder
- Quantity: 1 teaspoon
- Paprika
- Quantity: 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour
- Quantity: 1 cup
- Eggs, beaten
- Quantity: 2
- Breadcrumbs
- Quantity: 1 cup
- Oil for frying
- Quantity: As needed
For the Honey Butter Sauce:
- Unsalted butter
- Quantity: 1/4 cup
- Honey
- Quantity: 1/3 cup
- Soy sauce
- Quantity: 1 tablespoon
- Minced garlic
- Quantity: 1 teaspoon
Instructions
1. Prep the Chicken
Season chicken using salt, pepper, powdered garlic, and paprika.
2. Bread It
Roll in flour, beat eggs and roll in breadcrumbs.
3. Fry
Heat oil on a skillet on medium use.
Fry chicken 4-5 minutes on each side till golden, and internal temperature reaches 165degF (74degC).
Drain on paper towels.
(Also can be baked at 400degF/200degC 20-25 minutes, turning half a way through)
4. Make the Sauce
In a medium-sized saucepan, butter is melted. Add honey, soy sauce and garlic. Heat on low simmer 2-3 minutes till slightly thickened.
5. Coat & Serve
Brush or drizzle honey butter sauce on crispy henna. Serve immediately.
