Gravy Pork Chops in the slow cooker 3-Ingredient

Gravy Pork Chops in the slow cooker 3-Ingredient

Gravy Pork Chops in the slow cooker 3-Ingredient. This is a comforting trick that I was demonstrated by a sweet friend in church and only involves 3 ingredients. The meat is completely disintegrated when subjected to a fork when it is soaking…

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds bone-in pork chops (not thin cut, about 6 medium)

  • 2 cans (10.5-ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup.

  • 1 (1-ounce) package dry brown or pork gravy mix.

Gravy Pork Chops: Directions

  1. Lightly spray the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray to make washing it easy or a slow cooker liner is also an option.

  2. Add the condensed cream of chicken soup and the dry pork or brown gravy mix to a medium bowl and whisk the mixture until completely combined and smooth. At this stage the mixture will be thick and pale – that is all right, it will thin out and become golden brown as it cooks.

  3. Pour the gravy mixture, 1 to 2 large spoonful of the sauce, over the bottom of the slow cooker to sprinkle it lightly.

  4. Blot the pork chops using paper towels and remove any surplus fat on the surface. This will ensure that the gravy is not greasy by keeping it rich and creamy.

  5. Put the pork chops in the slow cooker in a uniform layer. There is nothing wrong with them overlapping, but attempt to keep them primarily on a single layer so that they cook in a uniform layer, and receive the full exposure to the gravy.

  6. Continue pouring the rest of the gravy mixture over the pork chops evenly with a spatula to make sure that all the meat is covered. You would have the chops smothered so that they remain moist and absorb the flavor.

  7. Seal the slow cooker with the lid and cook on LOW between 6 to 7 hours or cook on HIGH between 3 to 4 hours until the pork chops are very tender and they fall apart when pulled with a fork. The best way to cook is on LOW, it has the most mouth-watering texture.

  8. When the pork chops are cooked, stir the gravy softly around the sides, and over, to mix any juices which have accumulated. The sauce is to be thick, creamy, and golden brown and due to the presence of few bubbles around the edges.

  9. Taste the gravy and then, should you wish, add a pinch of salt and black pepper to your family taste. (Most gravy mixes are salty enough by themselves, so you probably will not need much (or any) of them.)

  10. The pork chops are to be served out of the slow cooker, and a lot of the smooth golden-brown gravy should be poured over them. The meat will be quite tender, and it will be better to take it out with a broad spatula or a spoon, in large pieces.
