Garlic Butter Steak Bites Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient

Garlic Butter Steak Bites Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient. Drop the steak into the crock pot, add 2 things, and you’re done. A few hours later, dinner is ready — soft, buttery, and so good people will think you cooked all day.

Do you love steak but hate standing over a hot grill? Same here. That’s exactly why I make this recipe on busy weeknights. All you do is cut up some steak, throw it in the slow cooker, add garlic and butter on top, and put the lid on. That’s it! You don’t have to watch it or stir it or worry about it. Just leave it alone and let the slow cooker cook the food. A few hours later, the steak is so soft and full of flavor, people will think you worked really hard. But your little secret? It only took you about five minutes to put it all together.

Just toss everything in the slow cooker and walk away — you’ll come back to the most tender, buttery steak bites ever. So easy, it almost feels like cheating!

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 4 pieces garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoons kosher salt (optional)
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper (optional)
  • 1 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Garlic Butter Steak Bites Making Steps

  1. Add steak to crock pot: Put all 2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes into the bottom of your slow cooker. Spread them out so they sit in a nice even layer — this helps every piece cook the same way.
  2. Add garlic: Sprinkle the 4 pieces garlic cloves, minced all over the top of the steak pieces. As everything cooks, the garlic will sink down and flavor the whole pot.
  3. Add butter: Drop the 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces pieces on top of the garlic and steak. Try to spread them around so the butter melts over everything evenly.
  4. Season: If you want, sprinkle on the 1 teaspoons kosher salt (optional) and 0.5 teaspoons black pepper (optional). You can also skip this for now and add salt and pepper at the end after you taste it — the garlic butter already adds tons of flavor on its own.
  5. Slow cook: Put the lid on and cook on LOW for 3 to 180 minutes
    180:00
. Try not to lift the lid during the first couple of hours — keeping the heat inside helps the steak turn out soft and juicy.
  6. Stir and taste: When the steak is done and very tender, give everything a gentle stir so all the pieces get coated in that yummy garlic butter sauce sitting at the bottom. Taste it and add more salt or pepper if you think it needs it.
  7. Serve: Scoop the steak bites into a bowl or plate. Spoon some of the buttery sauce from the pot right over the top. If you have 1 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish) on hand, sprinkle some on for a little color and freshness. Serve warm with your favorite sides!

Notes

Tips for the best steak bites:

Sirloin works great here, but you can also use chuck or stew beef — just know it may need a little extra time.

Don’t have fresh garlic? A tablespoon of garlic from a jar works just as well.

Great sides to serve with this: mashed potatoes, rice, egg noodles, or crusty bread to soak up all that garlic butter sauce.
