Dump frozen chicken wings Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient
What You Need
- 3 to 4 pounds of frozen chicken wings (don’t worry about thawing them!)
- 1 cup of barbecue sauce from a bottle (any kind you have at home works great)
- 1/2 cup of grape jelly (or any purple jelly sitting in your fridge)
How To Make Dump frozen chicken wings
- Put the frozen chicken wings into the bottom of your slow cooker. Try to spread them out as flat as you can. It’s okay if they stack a little, but flatter is better so they all cook the same way.
- Grab a bowl and mix the barbecue sauce and grape jelly together. Stir until it looks mostly smooth. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect — the heat will take care of the rest!
- Pour that yummy sauce all over the wings. Use a spatula to get every last drop out of the bowl. Then use a spoon to gently turn the wings so most of them get coated in sauce.
- Put the lid on and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours, or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours. The wings are ready when the meat is very soft and the sauce is bubbling. Try to stir them once or twice while they cook if you can!
- (Optional) Want a thicker, stickier sauce? Take the lid off and cook on HIGH for 15 to 20 more minutes. Give it a stir here and there so the sauce thickens up nicely.
- (Optional but SO worth it) For crispy, caramelized wings — line a baking pan with foil and spray it lightly. Move the wings from the slow cooker to the pan using tongs. Spoon a little extra sauce on top of each wing.
- Pop the pan under your broiler (make sure it’s heated up first) for 3 to 5 minutes. Watch them closely! You want the edges to get just a tiny bit dark and the sauce to look shiny and sticky.
- Put the wings on a big plate, pour any warm leftover sauce on top, and serve them right away while they’re still hot and sticky. Get ready for everyone to ask for seconds! 😄
