Cubed Steak and Gravy

Cubed Steak and Gravy

Crock Pot Cubed Steak and Gravy. We like a good slow cooker meal and this is not an exception. Filled with slow cooked cubed steak all day, this Crock pot Cubed steak and Gravy is tasty and the gravy is out of this world.

The meat is so tender and can be easily cut with a fork. Remember to eat this meal with bread which you can dunk in the gravy.

I recommend this cube steak and gravy recipe, especially to people like me who do not have much time to cook a traditional cube steak.

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/3 c. all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1 tsp. onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

  • 6 (approximately 4 oz. each) cubes of beef steaks (I normally purchase the family pack of cube steak, and cut them in half in case the slices are very large-I do not bother to notice how heavy the package is, there is always a lot of gravy)

  • 1 Tbsp. canola oil

  • 3 c. water, divided

  • 1 packet brown gravy mix with less salt (I use the low-salt brown gravy mix).

  • 1 envelope mushroom gravy mix

  • 1 envelope onion gravy mix

  • Hot mashed potatoes, cooked rice or cooked noodles
