Cream Cheese Beef Slow Cooker… Spread softened cream cheese over raw beef stew meat, alongside 4 ingredients, into slow cooker for a rich dinner that disappears faster than anything else.

This slow cooker Amish-style cream cheese beef is super rich and cozy. It takes me back to church potlucks and cold farm nights. You only need six things. Put raw beef stew meat in the slow cooker. Spread soft cream cheese on top with four easy helpers from your kitchen. At day’s end, the beef gets soft and easy to cut. The cream cheese turns into smooth gravy that vanishes quick from the table. It’s simple, filling Midwest food that’s cheap and warms you up good.

Servings: 6

Cream Cheese Beef Slow Cooker: Directions

  1. Put the slow cooker pot on a flat spot, like a counter. Add the beef chunks in one even layer.

  2. Shake salt and pepper over the raw meat. Mix it lightly with your hands or a spoon so it sticks to every piece.

  3. Spoon the mushroom soup on the meat. Spread it so it covers most of it.

  4. Sprinkle the onion soup mix all over the top. Don’t add water—the meat makes its own juice.

  5. Let the cream cheese get soft at room temp. Drop big blobs of it on the meat.

  6. Use a spoon or your hands to spread the soft cream cheese over the meat and soup. Make it as even as you can. It will melt later.

  7. Put the pot in the cooker base. Cover it. Cook on LOW 7-8 hours or HIGH 4-5 hours till beef is super soft and shreds easy with a fork.

  8. At the end, take off the lid. Stir the meat, melted cheese, and juices till it’s creamy gravy. Taste and add more salt or pepper if you want.

  9. Switch to WARM. Let it sit 5-10 minutes to get thicker. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice.
