Cheesy Ravioli Surprise Slow Cooker Recipe . My friends from church always bring yummy food to our potlucks. One Sunday, a lady showed up with a slow cooker full of cheesy ravioli. When she took off the lid, the whole room filled with a warm, tasty smell, just like a real Italian restaurant. Everyone ran over to grab a bowl!
This easy slow-cooker meal only needs three simple items: frozen cheese ravioli, marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Just stack them in layers and let the cooker do the work. Soon you’ll have soft, melty ravioli with golden cheese on top. Great for potlucks, family dinners, or busy school nights!
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 1 jar (24–28 ounces) marinara or spaghetti sauce
- 1 bag (25–27 ounces) frozen cheese ravioli
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Cheesy Ravioli Surprise: Instructions
- Spray the inside of a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker with a little cooking spray.
- Pour about half a cup of sauce into the bottom and spread it around in a thin layer.
- Add one layer of frozen ravioli on top of the sauce. It’s okay if some pieces touch or overlap a bit.
- Spoon more sauce over the ravioli so they’re covered, then sprinkle some mozzarella cheese on top.
- Keep making layers — ravioli, then sauce, then cheese — until you’ve used up all the ravioli. Pour the last bit of sauce and cheese on top to finish.
- Cover with the lid and cook on LOW for 3½ to 4 hours. The ravioli should feel soft and the cheese should be melted and a little brown around the edges. Try not to peek too much while it cooks!
- Once it’s ready, switch the cooker to WARM if you’re not eating right away. Let it sit for about 10 minutes with the lid cracked open so it firms up a little and is easier to scoop.
- Scoop big spoonfuls onto plates. You can add Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, or fresh basil or parsley on top if you like!
