1 pound ground beef (use the kind that’s 80-90% lean)

2 cans (8 ounces each) of store-bought crescent roll dough

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (that’s about 8 ounces)

1 teaspoon kosher salt (or add more to your taste)
Beef Crescent Squares: Directions

Turn your oven on to 375°F (that’s 190°C). Spray a 9×13-inch glass pan with no-stick spray, or wipe oil inside so nothing sticks.

Put the ground beef in a big pan on medium heat. Break it up with a spoon while it Cook the meat for 6 to 8 minutes, until it is fully brown and not pink anymore. Drain off extra fat.

Mix in the salt. Taste it and add a bit more if you like, but cheese and dough add salt too.

Open one can of crescent dough. Unroll it flat in the bottom of the pan. Press and pinch seams for one smooth layer.
