Amish Wedding Chicken-Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient

Amish Wedding Chicken-Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient

Amish Wedding Chicken-Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient. This easy slow cooker chicken with just 4 things is perfect for busy days or fun family Sundays. My friend from Amish land taught me this trick: pile it all in the pot and let it turn into super soft, yummy chicken. A few kitchen basics make a shiny, tasty cream sauce while you do other stuff. It’s warm, good for kids, and like food from a church meal or town party.

This 4-ingredient Amish wedding chicken simmers in a slow cooker for tender, juicy thighs in a creamy ranch sauce. Pantry staples like soup, mix, and butter create cozy flavor. Family favorite in 6 hours low—shreds easily for 6 servings. Simple, no stirring needed!

Amish Wedding Chicken-Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken thighs or breasts, no skin or bone, cut clean

  • 2 cans of cream of chicken soup (each 10.5 oz)

  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch mix

  • 4 tablespoons butter with salt, in small chunks

Amish Wedding Chicken: Directions

  1. Spray oil inside a 5-6 quart slow cooker so food doesn’t stick and cleans easy.

  2. Put chicken flat on the bottom. Pieces can touch a little, but keep mostly one layer for even cooking and easy pull-apart.

  3. Shake ranch mix all over chicken. Cover every bit for lots of taste and green bits.

  4. Spoon soup on top of chicken. Spread soft with a spoon to hide most chicken. Don’t mix—keep layers.

  5. Drop butter chunks on soup. Spread them out so they melt into chicken and sauce.

  6. Put lid on tight. Cook on low 6-7 hours or high 3-4 hours till chicken pulls apart with forks. Don’t peek to keep heat in.

  7. Shred chicken in pot with two forks. Mix light into thick, shiny sauce from soup, ranch, and butter.

  8. Taste sauce. Add tiny salt or pepper if needed—ranch and soup have flavor already. Thin with chicken broth or milk if too thick.

  9. Let sit on warm 10-15 minutes to soak more taste. Edges might brown a bit for extra yummy look.

  10. Serve hot over potatoes, noodles, or rice with lots of sauce. Add parsley bits for color if you want.
