Instructions For Air Fryer Beef Jerky

  1. Cut the beef as thin slices, approximately 1/4 inch thick, but cross-grain, giving the meat a tender feel.

  2. Put the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes in a large bowl. Stir until the sugar is dissolved to a large extent.

  3. Place the beef strips in the marinade ensuring that the strips are thoroughly marinated. Refrigerate or cover overnight or at least 6 hours.

  4. Warm your air fryer to 180 deg F (82 deg C).

  5. Place the beef strips in the air fryer basket in one layer so they do not sit on top of each other.

  6. Tray in the air fry and cook 2-3 hours flipping the strips. The jerky is done when it has dried and yet remains slightly soft.

  7. Allow the jerky to dry fully on a wire rack then put it in an airtight container and keep it in that.
