Succulent Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops with Herbs. Sweet lobster tails and golden scallops sit in warm garlic herb butter. It looks fancy but is easy to cook. It’s a great meal for a special night or when you want something yummy.
This tasty dish brings lobster and scallops together with a warm, buttery garlic sauce. Fresh lemon and herbs add a bright, happy flavor. It looks like something from a nice restaurant, but you can make it at home without much trouble. It’s perfect for a special dinner, a date night, or any time you want a treat.
Ingredients
- 4 lobster tails
- 12 large sea scallops, dried with a paper towel
- 6 tablespoons butter (soft, not salted), split into parts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 5 garlic cloves, chopped small
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, plus more for topping
- 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme leaves, or 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme if you don’t have fresh thyme.
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Salt and black pepper, as needed
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Succulent Garlic Butter Lobster: Directions
- Turn on the oven and let it heat up to 200°C (400°F).
- Use kitchen scissors to cut along the top of each lobster shell. Carefully lift the meat up so it rests on top of the shell.
- In a small pot, melt 3 tablespoons of butter on low heat. Mix in half the garlic, the paprika, and a little salt.
- Brush this garlic butter all over the lobster meat.
- Place the lobster tails on a baking tray and cook for 12 to 15 minutes, until the meat turns white all the way through.
- While the lobster bakes, sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the scallops.
- Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a big pan over high heat until it’s hot.
- Cook the scallops for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until they turn golden. Carefully remove the lobster meat and place it on a plate.
- Lower the heat to medium. Add the rest of the butter and garlic to the same pan.
- Add the thyme, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Let it cook for about 1 minute until it smells great.
- Put the scallops back in the pan and spoon the butter sauce over them.
- Take the lobster out of the oven once it’s done cooking.
- Place the lobster and scallops together on a plate. Pour any leftover garlic butter on top.
- Sprinkle parsley over the top and serve right away with lemon wedges.
