Marry Me Chicken Pasta Slow Cooker 4-Ing. And after preparing this creamy savory chicken dish as dinner, my sister was proposed to. Only 4 ingredients make an outrageously rich sauce that is tender biting.
Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
chicken breasts with no skin or bones→ 2 pounds
-
Alfredo (approximately 2 cups) sauce, any brand → 1 (16-ounce) jar
-
drained and chopped oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes → 1/2 cup
-
rigatoni uncooked pasta → 12 ounces
Marry Me Chicken Pasta: Directions
-
Coat the inside of your slow cooker with a little cooking spray so food does not stick and cleaning is easier.
-
Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer on the slow cooker.
-
Add the Alfredo sauce and chopped sun-dried tomatoes to a medium bowl and stir it until smooth and the sauce appears sprinkled with bright-red dots.
-
Add the Alfredo and sun-dried tomato sauce to the chicken and ensure that the chicken is covered entirely in the creamy sauce.
-
Cook on LOW 4-5 hours or HIGH 2-3 hours until chicken becomes very tender and can be cut into two forks.
-
Approximately 20 minutes prior to serving, boil a large pot of salted water on the stovetop and cook the rigatoni as package directions call and boil only until just starting to become al dente. Drain well.
-
As the pasta is cooking, shred the chicken into the slow cooker, combine it with the creamy golden sauce with two forks, which causes the chicken to fall into tender bites and the sauce to become slightly thick.
-
Blend the hot and emptied rigatoni with shredded chicken and the sauce into the slow cooker. Stir carefully yet continuously and until all the pasta is covered with the shiny, enriched sauce and the pieces of the sun-dried tomatoes are evenly distributed.
-
Add and season to taste, with a pinch of salt and black pepper (not included in the 4 ingredients), and serve the pasta directly out of the slow cooker on warm, which will help it remain creamy and cozy.
