Easy Slow Cooker Sausage Hashbrown Casserole – Cheesy Crockpot Dump Meal Recipe.

Super easy. It’s a dump meal.

Ingredients For Sausage Hashbrown Casserole

Sausage or smoked sausage (I use Ekrich Sausage) sliced in chunks as pictured in photo1 packSlice into chunks before adding to slow cooker
Frozen hashbrowns1 (32 oz) bagUse directly from frozen
Small onion diced up1 small onionDice evenly for better cooking
Cheddar2 cupsShredded cheddar melts best
Sour cream1/2 cupAdds creaminess to the casserole
Milk1/2 cupHelps thin and combine the sauce
Cream mushroom or chicken soup1 (10 oz) canEither soup works for flavor

Directions

  1. Soup.

  2. Then add sausage, hash browns, onion and cheese to a greased slow cooker (I use crockpot liners as they are easy to clean), followed by the combination of soup, milk, sour cream.

  3. To the mixture I add salt and pepper, minced garlic and onion powder.

  4. Taste, pour, sausage and hash browns over.

  5. Add 1/2 cup more cheese on the top next.

  6. Cook in low about 6 hours or high about 3-4 hours respectively.

Serving Suggestion

Depending on whether you want a salad, or roasted veggies as a complete meal and perhaps Texas garlic toast!
