Slow cooked Roast Beef
I’ve used 2 so there will be enough to go around.
Ingredients:
2 standard rolled roast beef
5-6 potatoes peeled and cut in half.
5 carrots peeled and left whole
2 onions peeled and cut in half
1 tsp garlic
salt as you like
1 packet French onion mix
Directions:
Layer veg on bottom of cooker.
Rub a generous amount of garlic salt into beef
Place on top on veg
Dollop 2 large desert spoons of crushed garlic on top
Mix a packet of French onion soup mix in 1 cup water and pour over top (Makes a great gravy with the juices of meat)
Cook on high for 2 hours, turn meat, then turn to low for a further 6hrs.
When finished, Place meat in a casserole dish to keep warm.
Place veg on tray in oven at 180-200C to brown and crisp up a bit.
Thicken juices with cornflour or plain flour until required consistency achieved. Serve with greens
Tasted amazing last time so fingers crossed it will again.
