Slow Cooker Pasta. Never cooking pasta on the stove again! After getting some advice on here before i put the dry penne pasta in with bolognaise sauce in slow cooker. Its fantastic! Pasta has soaked up the flavour cooked to perfection!
Ingredients:
500 gram beef mince
1 onion diced
2 carrots grated
1 cup mushrooms diced
1/4 green capsicum diced
a small tin of corn kernels
2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tin diced tomato
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1/4 cup of each (worstershire sauce, soy sauce, BBQ, tomato)
1tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon mixed herbs
Directions:
All in cooker on low 5 hours. I added about 1.5 cup pasta then 1/2 cup of boiled water. Cooked for further 30 minutes. Stirred in 1/2 cup parmesan cheese before serving!
*( Put the pasta in 30 mins at the end…. so cooked for 5 hours then added the pasta. Left for another 30 mins and pasta was cooked. Mince went in raw )*
This served 2 adults and 2 kids plus prob another full dinner for us all again. I used my new cooker i think its a 5 liter cooker.

Answer: 30 mins before the end. Put in and stirred through . Didn’t think it would cook that quickly but it did! !
Question: What jar of spaghetti sauce do you use?
Answer: One my husband got from Aldi.
Question: Did you brown your mince on the stove before putting in the slow cooker?
Answer: No just put straight in.
Question: So, just break in pieces, then chuck in with rest of ingredients?
Answer: Yup. I tend to put it in and use a fork to mush it a bit.

Answer: No put in raw at the beginning.
Question: When u put the pasta in did u turn it up high or leave on low plz?
Answer: Left on low.
Question: How long did you cook it all.
Answer: Cooked the bolognaise sauce 5 hours added pasta and cooked for further 30 mins on.
Question: Sorry, raw pasta. You added water… could I add beef stock?
Answer: I’m thinking next time i might try stock instead as the water whilst it did get absorbed by the pasta was a little less flavour some.
