At the risk of blowing my own trumpet I make a pretty mean spaghetti sauce at the best of times lol but I will NEVER go back to making it on the stove again after using the slow cooker! Sooooo easy and the flavours are much fuller! I don’t really measure ingredients but if anyone is interested .
Ingredients:
1kg lean beef mince (you could use half beef half pork also)
1 tin tomato soup
3/4 bottle of passata sauce
About 5 table spoons of both tomato and BBQ sauce
Decent splash of Worcestershire sauce
Heaped tablespoon minced garlic
I grated onion
2 tablespoons Spicy Red sauce (fountain brand – but you could just add red capsicum instead, I had none lol)
Heaped tablespoon tomato paste.
Directions:
I literally just put everything in and stirred to combine and cooked on high for about an hour and a half stirring regularly then left it on keep warm for another couple of hours and stirred when I thought of it.
You can use anything you have in the cupboards tho, I’m sure there are other sauces that would work a treat!!!
I’m going to try adding the pasta at about 4 when I leave to take my daughter dancing so it will be ready when we eat at 6.30.
