Creamy mushroom sauce, which is lavishly sprinkled with melted cheese of cheddar, would be a good match with thin slices of cooked steak. Thin potatoes or sweet onions would be a nice match, as well. Slow Cooker Potato and Cheese Steak Casserole.
Ingredients
Prep the steak
Pepper, salt, paprika and powdered garlic.
Layer the casserole
- Coat the slow cooker with oil.
- Add a layer of potatoes.
- Add steak slices.
- Add onions.
- Spoonful of cream soup mixture (soup and broth mixture).
- Sprinkle cheddar.
- Keep on adding ingredients until it is complete.
Cook
- Low: 6-7 hours
- High: 3-4 hours
(The potatoes need to be fork tender.)
Finish
- Add more cheddar, as any, on top after the final 15 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley.
