Hi guys, I hope so you are doing well and today i am gonna share slow cooker pork shoulder steak casserole recipe with you. Let’s move towards the ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 6 pork shoulder steaks cubed and seared
- Bag of whole shallots
- Tin chopped tomatoes
- ¾ pit baby plum tomatoes
- ¼’d mushrooms
- {Defrosted peas} – to suit
- Sliced carrots
- Knorr beef stock pot/½pint water
- 2 beef oxo
- Worcester sauce
- Magi seasoning
- Chopped fresh tarragon, oregano and flat leaf parsley mix
- Thickener
Method:
First of all seared the meat in the pot, added all other ingredients except peas/carrots /mushroom. I put the SC on low for approx 4 hrs while I was out.
When I came back I partly boiled the carrots and added the peas to defrost. Drained and added to the SC with the mushrooms and tomatoes. I turned to medium until we were ready to eat, approx 1½hrs. Added some gravy granules at the end to thicken as I’d forgotten the cornflour mix.
Served with roast pots, roast parsnips and Yorkshire puddings
We usually just grill or bake shoulder steaks but find they can be a bit stringy and tough but the meat was nice and tender.
If my husband hadn’t forgotten to buy the mushrooms, I’d have put the whole lot in at the beginning and cooked for 8 hours on low.
