Slow cooker Guinness Stew, this is absolutely delicious.
Ingredients:
700g diced beef
150g diced bacon
2 medium sliced carrots
2 medium onions sliced
2 medium potatoes diced
3 cloves of garlic minced
1 celery stalk chopped
1 tbsp of tomatoe puree
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
500mil Guinness
250mil Beef stock
1 tsp rosemary
1 tsp thyme
2 Bay leaves
1tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp cornstarch
Fresh thyme for garnish
Method:
Add tablespoon olive oil to medium heat pan, add beef & cornstarch and brown off for 5 minutes & set aside. To the same pan add your bacon & brown off and set aside with the beef.
Add the rest of the ingredients to the slow cooker pot, add the browned of beef & bacon, mix it all together & cook on low for 8 hours, serve with creamy mash & garnish with fresh thyme(optional).
