Shortcut Chicken Cacciatore Slow Cooker. This super easy 3-ingredient slow cooker chicken cacciatore is my go-to for busy weeknights. It takes little work but gives you yummy, cozy food that feels like a big hug. Old-school chicken cacciatore is an Italian meal with chicken, tomatoes, herbs, and veggies cooked slow. I adore that, but when life’s crazy with jobs and chores, I use this quick trick: one bottle of Italian dressing adds all the zing, flavors, and spices without measuring. Pop it in the cooker before heading out, and return to soft, saucy chicken that seems like you spent hours on it.
Discover this effortless slow cooker chicken cacciatore magic! Just three simple items transform into tender, flavorful bites swimming in tangy tomato sauce. Perfect for hectic days, it simmers while you relax, delivering Italian comfort without fuss. Serve over pasta or rice for family wins—cozy, hearty, and ready when you are. (48 words)

How to Make Shortcut Chicken Cacciatore
-
Spray the inside of your slow cooker with no-stick spray if you want (it makes washing easier on rushed days).
-
Put the chicken in a flat layer at the bottom. If breasts are big, cut them in half so they cook the same.
-
Pour the Italian dressing all over the chicken evenly.
-
Spoon the pasta sauce or smashed tomatoes on top. Spread it lightly to cover most of the chicken. Don’t mix—keep the layers.
-
Put the lid on. Cook on low heat for 6 to 7 hours, or high heat for 3 to 4 hours. Chicken should be super soft and shred easy with forks.
-
Shred the chicken right in the cooker with two forks. Mix it into the sauce so it’s all blended.
-
Taste it. Add a bit of salt, pepper, or red pepper bits if you like more kick.
-
Serve warm on pasta, rice, or your pick. Spoon lots of sauce on top!
This chicken works great many ways. Try it on noodles like spaghetti or egg noodles, or with mashed potatoes or plain rice. For light eats, use cauliflower rice or roasted veggies. Add a fresh green salad and crusty bread to mop up sauce. For groups, lay out carbs and let folks pick.
