Red Wine Casserole

Slow Cooker Red Wine Casserole with chuck steak and omg yummo everyone was licking their plates clean.

Ingredients:

1.5kg chuck steak
3 full rashes of Bacon chopped
Large Red onion
3tbl spoons of minced garlic
3/4 cup red wine
2 cups beef stock (I used 2 cubes)
Tbl spoon of Bonox
2tbl spoons of tomato paste
2tbl spoons of cornflower (I ran out of plain)
Mixed herbs
Tbl spoon of chili powder
1/2 bag of mixed frozen veg
4 potatoes
Bay leaves

Method:

Covered the steak in salt, pepper and oil braised in fry pan then put in SC covered in cornflower, put red wine in and stirred.
Cooked onion, bacon and garlic in pan mixed tomato paste and bonox in then added to SC.
Added mixed herbs, bay leaves and chili powder followed by stock and potatoes stirred well.

Cooked on low for about 5.5hr then added frozen veg and cooked on high for a further 1.5hr.
