If you have not tried Nanna’s apple pie yet then you are seriously missing out!
One of the best and easiest desserts.
I halved the apple and cake mix (used 1 of each instead) but kept the caramel the same.
INGREDIENTS:
Spray oil.
2 cans of apple pie filling. (2×800g)
1 cup of caramel topping.
2 packets (2×340g) vanilla cake mix made into batter as per their packet instructions.
Custard or ice cream to serve
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place apple pie filling in slow cooker.
Then evenly put in 1 cup of caramel topping.
Make up cake mix batter & evenly pour on top.
Cook on high for 3 hours and tea towel under the lid.
Serve with custard or ice cream.
Enjoy!
Note: For full recipe use a 5 litre or 6 litre cooker & for half recipe use a 3 litre cooker.

Answer: Cheap packet cake mix or brand box cake mix from Asda/Tesco. Tin of apples/peaches any fruit. Toffee sauce you would pour over ice cream.

Answer: Peaches work amazing! Although I use the butter cake mix with these instead, No reason why you couldn’t use the vanilla still though.

Answer: Any cake mix should do.. butter cake??.. or change the apples to tinned plums and use chocolate cake mix..
Question: I have made this and halve the full amount. Only used a 400g apples, but I will do it again but use the 800g apples. It was more cake flavor than the apples. It was a bit dry as well.
Answer: Double the apples would be great! Mine wasn’t dry though .

Answer: I use 1x 800g tin. Stewing apples don’t have any juice and it would still be fine with no caramel.
