Steps For Making Honey Chicken
Prepare the Chicken
Sprinkle the chicken strips with salt and pepper.
Sear the Chicken
Heat the oil in a pan on the medium- high heat. Add the chicken strips and brown on both sides and cook until almost cooked. Take out of the pan and place aside.
Make the Glaze
Put the soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, and ginger into the same pan. Bring to simmer stirring continuously until it begins to thicken slightly.
Thicken the Sauce
Then add the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch in water) to the sauce and stir it until it becomes thick like a glaze.
Combine and Caramelize
Put chicken back into the pan and add the glaze. Keep on cooking some few minutes, coating the chicken till it becomes shiny and caramelized.
Garnish with herbs (dried) and enjoy.
